World Iridology Day
Celebrating Iridology and Connecting a Global Community
The International Iridology Practitioners’ Association (IIPA) has designated February 19 as World Iridology Day, an annual observance celebrating iridology and the people who advance it worldwide. This day brings practitioners, educators, students, and organizations together to share knowledge, increase public awareness, and honor the contributions of those who have helped shape the field.
Why World Iridology Day?
World Iridology Day gives our international community a shared occasion to celebrate iridology and introduce it to a wider audience.
Each February 19, practitioners, educators, students, and organizations can join together across countries and cultures to support three shared purposes.
Share Knowledge
Increase public awareness through responsible educational information about iridology, its history, and its professional practice. Encourage continued learning and the exchange of ideas among practitioners, educators, and students.
Honor Contributions
Recognize the pioneers, teachers, researchers, and practitioners whose dedication has helped shape iridology. Celebrate their contributions and inspire the next generation to continue learning and contributing.
Connect Worldwide
Strengthen relationships across borders and create opportunities for collaboration. Whether participating locally, online, or at an international gathering, we can celebrate as one global iridology community.
A Day for the Global Iridology Community
Around the world, many professions, scientific disciplines, health-related fields, and areas of public interest have dedicated days of recognition. These occasions provide valuable opportunities to increase public awareness, share knowledge, recognize achievements, celebrate pioneers, encourage professional development, and unite communities across national and cultural boundaries.
Iridology has developed and expanded worldwide over many decades. Today, it is practiced and taught across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and the Pacific. Practitioners, educators, schools, and organizations across these regions continue to contribute to its growth and development, creating an international community connected by a shared commitment to iridology. Yet our profession has not traditionally had one common day on which the global iridology community could come together. World Iridology Day provides that shared occasion.
Iridologists may live in different countries, speak different languages, follow different educational pathways, and practice in different professional environments. On February 19, we can come together around one common purpose: to celebrate iridology and its global community. An instructor in Europe can share knowledge with students elsewhere in the world, while practitioners across Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas can participate through local gatherings and international online events.
World Iridology Day belongs to the entire international iridology community. It welcomes practitioners, instructors, schools, students, organizations, and supporters to contribute to a shared annual observance. Through this international connection, we can strengthen our professional relationships, encourage continued learning, and create public awareness that extends throughout the year.
Why February 19?
The choice of February 19 carries particular significance for the international iridology community. IIPA’s annual conference takes place on or around this date, bringing together practitioners, instructors, educators, students, and leaders from different parts of the world. This creates an opportunity to connect World Iridology Day with the international gathering of the IIPA community.
When the annual conference coincides with February 19, it can serve as a central international celebration of World Iridology Day. When the conference takes place on a nearby date, the observance can be incorporated into the conference program as part of the annual celebration. February 19 remains the designated date each year, providing a consistent annual occasion around which the community can plan.
