The International Iridology Practitioners Association was founded for the purpose of increasing and communicating knowledge concerning the art and science of Iridology and to provide a forum for the exchange of information and research with the goal of promoting excellent international Iridology standards.
Our goal is to increase and communicate knowledge about Iridology and to provide you with opportunities for receiving the most updated information, products, and tools for Iridologists worldwide. IIPA has grown since it was founded in 1982, and we are enthusiastic about the future. We invite you to share in the enthusiasm and help get the word out to all Iridologists who are not a part of IIPA. We are excited about our mission to unite Iridologists from around the world and to provide them a place to network with many others in the field of Iridology. We welcome your thoughts and input as we go forward.

Robin Baker, MH, CR, CCI-3, F.Ir.
President
Robin Baker is a mother of six children and was concerned for their health and interested in ways that prevented them from becoming sick and ill. She was also concerned for the health of my husband as well as her own. She began reading everything on health, herbs, and nutrition I could find. She thought, “Why should I spend money on doctors if I could figure it out myself?”
Her goal for her family was to raise our children to be healthy and avoid the physical problems that seemed to recur in the family history. She transformed their diet to vegetarian and later to vegan. Her family has an active lifestyle in competitive sports programs for the children and many outdoor events. She began advising family members and friends on how to have a healthy lifestyle. She completed the Master Herbalist program and received a Diploma from the Australasian College of Health Sciences. Then a friend introduced her to Iridology, and she knew this was another field she wanted to pursue, so she attended seminars for Iridology certification under the teaching of Ellen Tart-Jensen (Bernard Jensen International) and received her certification through IIPA.
Robin also attended the Williams School of Health for Reflexology and received her certification. She received my AA in Liberal Arts from San Bernardino Valley College in 1995. She enjoys extending and continuing her knowledge and understanding in other areas of health and healing by reading, studying, and listening to the many webinars available to us. She is currently a Master Herbalist and an IIPA-Certified Iridologist, and the owner of "Robin's Nest of Health," which she operates in California. Her clients are able to see, through Iridology, a blueprint of their body, and she encourages them to make changes in the patterns of their lives towards health. She hopes her lifestyle will be an example and inspiration to them. She and her husband are California natives and currently reside in the high desert of Apple Valley, CA. She now has the joy of passing on and using my knowledge for my grandchildren.

Beth Hovis is a Board-certified Naturopathic Doctor and a Board-certified Master Herbalist as well as a Certified Comprehensive Iridology Instructor - Level 3, and is a natural health educator with more than 25 years of experience in the wellness field.
Beth specializes in Iridology education and professional development for wellness practitioners and teaches Comprehensive Iridology Levels I, II, and III through the International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA). She has been recognized by IIPA as Instructor of the Year 2019, and for hosting award-winning educational webinars.
In addition to teaching Iridology and natural wellness education programs, Beth supports wellness practitioners through business education, continuing education opportunities, and online educational content focused on holistic living and professional growth.
Beth and her husband, Rob, live in the metro Atlanta area and enjoy spending time with their growing family, including their 3 amazing children, their spouses, and 8 wonderful grandchildren.

Christos Miliankos is an Iridologist, Naturopath, and Bowen work Instructor from Victoria, Australia. He has been practicing Iridology, Naturopathy, and Homeopathy in his clinic for over 25 years. He has a post-graduate Diploma in Integrated Iridology and Natural Fertility Management. He is an IIPA Accredited Level 1, 2, and 3 Comprehensive Iridology Instructor as well as a Sclerology instructor.
Christos is passionate about Iridology, collecting and researching Iris patterns through the family generations, and loves sharing his passion for this amazing technique with his clients. He truly believes that every iris is beautiful and perfect. Iridology has been an amazing gift in the health of his family, clients, and friends. It helps people to understand themselves better, where they have come from, and how to be the best that they can be.
Winsome Christie, Ph.D, FAIHM, BCHN, BHM., Rph, CCI
Dr. Winsome B. Christie is a Registered Pharmacist, Natural Health Consultant, Certified Iridologist, and Colon Hydrotherapist and Instructor with extensive experience in integrative and complementary healthcare. She holds advanced qualifications in Clinical Pharmacy, Naturopathy, Holistic Nutrition (Board Certified) and is also a Fellow of Integrative Health and Medicine.
Based in Jamaica, Dr. Christie operates a complementary healthcare pharmacy where she incorporates personalized wellness strategies, botanical compounding, and medicinal cannabis applications. Her practice emphasizes a holistic approach to health, incorporating iridology and colon hydrotherapy as key tools in helping with patient-centered care.
An experienced educator and mentor, she has contributed significantly to the training of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and healthcare professionals across the Caribbean. She is actively involved in professional leadership, public health initiatives, and the advancement of integrative medicine.
Dr. Christie remains committed to empowering individuals and practitioners through natural healing modalities to achieve optimal health and well-being.
Tharindhu Fernando, OD, CCII
Tharindhu Fernando has more than 16 years of paramedical and academic experience. His major fields of interest are Iridology, Holistic Healing, Optometry, and Psychology. He is a Certified Comprehensive Iridologist and Certified Iridology Instructor for IIPA. Tharindhu was awarded “IIPA Instructor of the Year” in 2018. And he was awarded the “Iridologist of the Year Award” – the most prestigious award of IIPA in 2019.
Tharindhu is the Founder/President of Sri Lanka Iridology Association, Chairman of Ceylon Optometry and Iridology Academy, Ceylon Sujok & Naturopathy Center, and Healthy Eyes–Eye, Diabetic & Holistic Clinic. He is also a member of the British Council for Complementary Therapies and is the Chairman of the organizing committee of the Asian Congress of Iridology.
Tharindhu works hard to uplift the standards of the health sector in Sri Lanka, and is also a focal point of the movement to achieve Sustainable Development Goals declared by the United Nations in 2015. He is a National Advisory Coordinator of Sustainable Development Goals Youth Net Sri Lanka and was awarded the honorary title “Sustainable Goodwill Ambassador” by the Sri Lanka United Nations Friendship Organization in 2021. Considering his hard work towards the SDGs, he was appointed as Consul General for Civil Relations in Sri Lanka at the International Commission of Diplomatic Relations Human Rights and Peace. And also awarded Consul General for Civil Relations in Sri Lanka at the Council of Inter-Parliament Organizations, therefore, given the honorable title “His Excellency”. Tharindhu also has the title “Sevashuree” by the Sri Lanka United Nations Friendship Organization to appreciate his humanitarian work.

Toni is Australia’s most experienced Iridology teacher, researcher, and lecturer, and the author of the award-winning Integrated Iridology textbook. With more than four decades of clinical practice and over 30 years of dedicated research, Toni is widely regarded as a foundational voice in modern Iridology education. Since beginning her teaching journey in 1983, Toni has trained generations of practitioners, helping them move beyond memorization into true understanding, clinical reasoning, and practical application.
Founder of the College of IRIS, the only school in the Southern Hemisphere dedicated exclusively to Iridology education. When teaching for the Southern Cross Herbal College, she wrote the first Iridology course granted diploma status by the Australian Traditional Medicine Association.
Her graduates are known for their confidence, discernment, and integrated understanding of Iridology within holistic health practice. Calm, precise, and deeply experienced, Toni brings authority without dogma—offering students and audiences alike a sense of trust, continuity, and respect for the intelligence of the human body.

Betty Sue O’Brian is a Natural Physician, M.S., who was always interested in food and diet, and studied food and nutrition with a minor in Dietetics. She studied Iridology with Dr. Bernard Jensen, and so loved what she learned that she began to share it by teaching others.
For the past fifteen years, she has offered guidance and assistance to those looking for support in their healing journeys. She has treated a full range of “diseases” in children, adults, and the elderly. She sees her role as one who helps people get to the cause of their imbalance via food-based healing, herbs, and lifestyle changes. She utilizes a variety of modalities, including diet and nutritional counseling, functional medicine, chakra balancing, energy medicine, supplementation recommendations, botanical medicine, flower essence therapy, and detox strategies. She recommends Iridology as a baseline, genetic marker. The body can heal given the right stimulus.
Her many years of teaching in the classroom have provided Betty Sue with a command of the language (of health) and the ability to empower others to take charge of their health. When clients say, “my doctor has me on… or my doctor won’t take me off of….” she encourages them to discuss how they feel and why they might want to make a change with their doctor and not just accept something they know is not right for them.
Betty Sue has lived and worked on the Mississippi Gulf Coast all of her life. She has rejoined our Board of Directors, where she has served as President and Past President. This shows her dedication to Iridology and IIPA.

Kelly Shattuck has spent most of her career immersed in the holistic health and wellness field. Her foundation began with her family’s business, Harmony Farms Natural Foods, established in 1974. Well known throughout the Raleigh, North Carolina community, Harmony Farms built a strong reputation for offering high-quality natural foods and supplements, along with personalized guidance on healthy living. During her time managing Harmony Farms, Kelly deepened her passion for natural healing by pursuing extensive education in a variety of modalities.
She became a Certified Natural Herbalist through Rosemary Gladstar’s The Science and Art of Herbalism program and also earned certification in Autoimmune Wellness Coaching. Continuing her professional journey, Kelly studied at Trinity School of Natural Health, where she became a Certified Aromatherapy Specialist. She further expanded her expertise by completing the Master Iridology Program (Levels I and II) and, driven by her passion for the insights iridology can provide, went on to achieve Level III Certified Comprehensive Iridology training under Beth Hovis. By blending these modalities with iridology and mindful nutrition, Kelly supports and empowers her clients in moving toward vibrant, balanced, and lasting health.
Ivana Šimunec-Gedalja, N.T. Dip, CCII
Ivana Šimunec-Gedalja began her journey into natural health and Iridology in 1999, driven by a deep passion for understanding the body through a holistic and integrative approach. With a professional background as a Health Laboratory Technician, she has continued to expand her knowledge through extensive studies in Iridology, acupuncture, hirudotherapy, homotoxicology, nutritional therapy, and natural medicine.
Alongside her medical and naturopathic education, Ivana also studied Journalism, Sales Management, and Marketing, which strengthened her ability to educate, communicate, and connect with people through both clinical work and professional teaching.
She furthered her education through the School of Health in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2022 as a Nutritional Therapist (N.T. Dip). Her additional studies include homeopathy, clinical and preclinical psychology and psychiatry, as well as advanced education with internationally respected educators at the Croatian Academy of Natural and Energetic Medicine, Biogena, Divya Chabra, and Brenda Generali.
In 2023, she became a Certified Comprehensive Iridologist through the IIPA, and in 2024, earned her CCII Iridology Instructor certification. Today, she is the founder and owner of IFKA Nutritional & Iridology Counseling, where she combines iris and sclera analysis with hair mineral testing, microbiome stool analysis, hirudotherapy, and nutritional guidance to support each client as a whole person — body, mind, and spirit. She teaches Iridology in Eastern Europe in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia. She also holds webinars and workshops for the Croatian Association of Natural and Energetic Medicine.
Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that the body carries an innate intelligence toward healing when given the proper support and balance.

Jacqueline Stenhouse, CCI, BHSc (Nat), BHSc (Nut)
Jacqueline Stenhouse is an Iridologist and Natural Health Practitioner based in Western Australia, holding a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition). Her work integrates iridology with evidence-based natural health care, combining nutritional medicine, lifestyle support, and holistic wellness practices to provide personalised client care.
With experience supporting individuals through a broad range of physical, emotional, and lifestyle-related health concerns, Jacqueline takes a grounded and practical approach to wellbeing. Her consultations use detailed iris analysis as a tool to identify areas of potential imbalance, helping clients gain a deeper understanding of their overall health.
Alongside her clinical work, Jacqueline has experience working within governance environments, contributing to boards, committees, and community-focused initiatives. Her background includes collaboration across multidisciplinary settings, with strengths in communication, strategic thinking, and holistic client advocacy.
Passionate about preventative health and long-term wellness, Jacqueline is committed to creating a supportive and informative space where clients feel empowered to take an active role in their health journey through realistic, sustainable, and individualised care.
Sheryl Strom, DNM, BD, DSM, RN; HNB-BC, CCII-3
Dr. Sheryl Strom works a myriad of health challenges to help individuals obtain their optimum wellness through natural health modalities. With over 30 years in the health care industry, Dr. Sheryl combines her knowledge and experience of natural health and nursing with extensive continuous education. This allows her to provide state-of-the-industry solutions to patients and fellow practitioners.
Degrees, Certifications, and Accomplishments. Dr. Sheryl has earned multiple degrees, including a doctorate in Natural, Bioenergetic, and Sacred Medicine from the Institute of Bioenergetic Medicine (IBEM). She graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Spanish and a BS in Nursing. She is Board Certified in Natural Medicine from the American Naturopathic Medical Association and in Holistic Nursing from the American Nursing Credentialing Corporation. She is certified as an Iridologist and Instructor with the International Iridology Practitioners Association.
Dr. Sheryl is the Clinical Advisor for the Institute of Bioenergetic Medicine. She is also the Iridology Instructor at IBEM for doctoral students, while representing the International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA) since 2012.
Private Practice. Dr. Sheryl has owned her private practice since 2002, where she has successfully helped many individuals enjoy optimum wellness. She incorporates many alternative modalities, including but not limited to iridology, herbology, homeopathy, reflexology, bioresonance, and auricular therapy.
Core Values and Giving Back. Dr. Sheryl grew up in a family of natural health and allopathic practitioners, so she is able to blend both healing professions to provide solutions that are in the best interest of the patient. Dr. Sheryl has worked very closely with Colorado legislators to develop and pass SB13-215, the Consumer Protection Act. As a leader in healthcare, she has been featured on television, radio, podcast, and continues to give back by volunteering time and sharing her knowledge and experience with others. Dr. Sheryl has written and presented for medical doctors on auricular therapy for pain management and the opioid crisis.
Adison Thompson, PhD, MS, CTN, CCI

Adison Thompson is a Traditional Naturopath based just outside of Quantico, Virginia. She has been practicing within the field of natural, holistic, and integrative health for several years and is driven by a deep commitment to helping individuals (especially military, veteran, and first responder communities) reconnect with the foundational balance of mind, body, and spirit.
Her journey in holistic health is rooted in both personal conviction and formal education. Adison holds a BA in Psychology, an MS in Integrative Health (majoring in clinical herbalism and holistic nutrition, with a minor in homeopathy), a Doctorate in Alternative Medicine, and a PhD in Alternative Health (focused on early intervention for military communities). She is also certified in modalities such as herbalism, nutrition, iridology, homeopathy, sound healing, energy work, and health coaching, and holds credentials as a Certified Traditional Naturopath, Certified Comprehensive Iridologist, and Board-Certified Doctor of Holistic Health.
Through her primarily virtual practice, Adison works with clients while continuing her education and professional involvement. Along with IIPA, she is affiliated with several natural health organizations but is especially passionate about iridology (professionally and personally) and is committed to sharing its value with others as a means of deeper understanding and transformation.
Outside of her professional role, Adison enjoys spending quality time with her husband on their homestead, homeschooling their daughters, reading, creating, and connecting with nature.
