IIPA Iridology Students

You are about to embark on a wonderful journey which will take you through an informative study of the latest information in Iridology. The IIPA Board of Directors is composed of a fine group of men and women who are joyfully committed to helping students achieve the highest quality of education in Iridology. We have established specific guidelines for the serious student who would like to be certified by IIPA. The following is an outline of those guidelines and the steps each student must take.

Why Become Certified By IIPA?

Iridology has no official standards of practice in most countries. Anyone can call him/herself an Iridologist, often with little or no training or experience. Also, there are great differences in the Iridology information currently being taught throughout the world. Certification from IIPA identifies you as having attained the highest level of education in the field. It sets you apart and identifies your committment to these standards. Clients can then choose you because they know you have received an excellent education. IIPA approved courses provide you with an education based on the European, American and other worldwide teachings, presented in an extremely easy to learn manner.

IIPA Certification:

Classes

1. Introduction to Iridology. This covers the history and development of Iridology, discussion of different models-European, American, Applied, Rayid psychological/behavioral, iris photography, research issues, etc. (2-3 hrs.)

2. Level 1 Certification Class. This includes eye anatomy and physiology, topography and mapping of the iris, constitutional types and subtypes, iris structure and signs, pigmentation, pupil tonus, etc. (minimum of 14 hrs. with IIPA Certified Instructor)

3. Level 2 Certification Intensive. This class places emphasis on case studies, combinations of signs, exceptions to rules, collarette study, specific constitutions, psychological/behavioral models, and introduction to sclera/conjunctiva signs. (minimum of 21 hrs. with an IIPA Certified Instructor)

4. After completing the Level 2 Certification Intensive, a minimum 2 month period is provided before testing so you can examine the irises of 10 people, fill out an analysis form on each and return them to your instructor when you apply to take part 1 of the Certification Examination.

Testing Procedures:

1. You must be a member of IIPA in order to apply for the two part Certification Test.

2. The Cerification Test has two parts. After you have sent in the 20 case studies you completed during the 2 months after your Certification Class you will receive an application for part 1 of the Certification test. You will then return the completed application along with the test fee for Part 1. You will then be sent a slide case to analyze at home and return within a 3 month period of time to be graded. Your test results will be sent back to you in four to six weeks with corrections/comments. If the slide review is satisfactory, you will be ready to take Part 2 of the Certification Test. If the slide case is unsatisfactory, you will be invited to request another slide case.

3. Certification Test, Part 2 is a closed book written examination. Up to two hours is allotted for completion of this test. There are two ways to take this part of the Certification Test. A. Scheduled Exam- Your teacher will provide you with a list of Certification Exam dates and locations. Contact the examiner ahead of time to be scheduled. An in-class review will be given after the test. B. Local Proctor- If you are unable to attend one of these testing dates, you may take a proctored test with a designated local IIPA Certified Iridologist, librarian, notary, school teacher, etc. Proctoring instructions will be sent to you when you have passed the Slide Case Analysis, (Part 1 of the Certification Test).

4. Your corrected test and results will be returned to you within 4 to 6 weeks. If the test is satisfactory, and all other requirements are completed, (ie. anatomy & physiology, current IIPA membership), you will be sent an IIPA Certification Certificate. If the test was unsatisfactory, you will be invited to retake the test in 2 months after further study.

5. An Anatomy & Physiology Course is a pre-requisite for IIPA Certification. The Certification candidate must submit a transcript of a completed A&P course, a copy of a diploma of an acceptable accredited degree, or a copy of an appropriate professional license to the IIPA central office before they receive the IIPA Certification Certificate. Certification testing can be completed before the A&P class is completed. Course work should be college level and designed to provide you with a deeper understanding of how the body functions and organ/gland placement. Students may take this course from a university, community college, acupuncture school, massage school, etc. If a local school is not available, we accept a 6 credit hour distance learning program from several schools.

6. As an IIPA Certified Iridologist you are eligible to be placed on a referral list that will be available through the central office for inquiries. We will also include your name in the next IIPA Newsletter to let the readers know that you have passed all certification requirements of IIPA

Certification Fees

$175 for both part one and part two.
