Cheryl Matschek

Cheryl Matschek is an internationally known speaker, extraordinary trainer, insightful consultant and author since 1979. Her widespread popularity stems from her penetrating insights, knowledge, enthusiasm and vivacious spirit. She has a passion for helping and encouraging others to be fully alive On stage she brings a lifetime of business experience in the areas of leadership, team development, sales and marketing and personal potential to participants in a dynamic, inspirational, and yet practical manner. Off stage she is dedicated to her clients and works with them in private practice on a “whole person” basis in preventive healthcare as well as regaining health. She is an IIPA Certified Instructor of Iridology. As a health professional, she incorporates into her work the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. She has a profound ability to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere and works with people as friends, not just clients.

Cheryl Matschek holds a PhD in Natural Health, Nutrition and Iridology; a Masters in Behavorial Science; a Master's in Herbology; and a Bachelor's in Psychology. She is currently President of IIPA, and has been on the Board of Directors since February, 2001. She is also a member of the National Speakers Association, the International Speakers Association and a variety of other organizations related to the speaking and health industries. Cheryl is the owner and founder of The Cheryl Matschek Company, Inc, Soaring Horizons® and Princess Publishing. She’s listed in many Who’s Who directories such as the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, International Who’s Who of Professional Business Men and Women and 2000 Notable American Women.

Cheryl is the author of several books (including Cooking for Health: Without meat, dairy or refined sugar) and audio cassettes, and has been a guest on numerous radio and television talk shows. Prior to beginning her own businesses in 1979, Cheryl was in the Life Insurance business. She achieved outstanding success as a Million Dollar Roundtable producer in her first year of sales with the New York Life at the age of 25, and went on to become, for the same company, one of five women in sales management in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Cheryl lives in North Plains, Oregon (outside Portland) and is married to J. Norman Matschek, D.M.D. They are active in their church and in the community. They share their home with two spoiled miniature schnauzers, Holly and Sunshine. Together, they enjoy traveling, golf, walking/hiking, and reading. Cheryl enjoys writing, cooking, stained glass and playing her accordian.
