The Genesis of Healing

A "made for tv" series documenting iridology

January 26, 2007 a camera crew including Martin Spirit, Bill Elliott (Director of Photography), George Paterakis (Lighting/Sound), Margaret Dettmer (Field Producer) and Alastair Greene (Host of the show) visited with Ellen and Art Jensen. The purpose of their visit was to interview her about the history and modern use of iridology and her work and training with Dr. Bernard Jensen. The crew came and went with Art out to where Dr. Bernard Jensen used to have the Hidden Valley Health Ranch. They did quite a bit of filming there that day and talked with Art about his father and the people who went there to heal.

The next morning, the film team came to Ellen’s office and interviewed her for three hours. They asked a lot of questions about the history of iridology, what it does, what it can’t do, and how she uses it in her practice. She explained to them a great deal about IIPA and told them how IIPA is setting excellent iridology standards that help to ensure that students get an excellent education in iridology. After her interview, the team interviewed three of Ellen’s clients that had remarkable recoveries. One was a small boy of seven who had had a severe respiratory virus and high fever and was very constipated. Another was a lady Ellen had worked with who had had breast cancer. The third client they interviewed was another boy who had had stomach problems, allergies, and headaches. Each of these people have made drastic changes to their health and their lives, and this is now documented by Brushfire Films.

Ellen gives us a personal note regarding her experience.

“I am very thankful for this documentary that Brushfire Films is doing to get iridology, the science that we all love so much, out into the world. Before they left, they asked me if I had ever worked with any celebrities. I told them that I had done iris analyses for Gavin MacLeod who played the captain on the Love Boat and his wife, Patti. They used to visit Dr. Bernard Jensen and now they come to me. I even interviewed them for one of our IIPA newsletters several years ago. They really support and believe in iridology. I also work with the singer and songwriter, Jewel. Amazingly, when I asked her, she agreed to be interviewed by Brushfire. So she will be an excellent representative for iridology and natural healing.”

Following the interviews done with Ellen and Art Jensen, Brushfire Films traveled to Texas to visit with Marion D. “Micki” Jones. They met with Micki on January 30th. Micki says, “Of course I was a little nervous that morning, but, when they arrived and we started visiting, they made the entire experience very relaxing and enjoyable. Martin Spirit interviewed me for about two hours and asked some very relevant and important questions regarding Iridology. They also filmed me doing an analysis on one of my clients.”

Micki spoke with her interviewers about Bernard Jensen and the impact he has made on the world in the field of iridology and natural health. She had a very inspirational experience working with this filming crew and sharing her love of iridology with them in a way that would provide insight and education to all who watch this documentary.
